Ready for change!

Buckle up! Feeling stuck, but not sure how to take the leap? Or even the first step? The fact that you are aware that a change is needed is the first step. I call the first stage Acknowledging or Awakening. You know that a change is needed. You are burned out, tired, overweight, bored, fed up, feeling like you have got to change something or you will go insane. You have had an awakening of your soul, your mind, your body or all three.

There is still more work to be done in this stage. Yes, you have acknowledged the desire to change what you are doing today or how you are doing things, but you may not know what that future state looks like for you. Here are 4 simple steps that can help you define your future state:

  1. Assess where you are today. What is your opportunity for change?
  2. Identify where you want to be tomorrow. Envision yourself in that future state. What does it look like? Feel like? See yourself there.
  3. What tools, skills, resources, etc. will you need to prepare you for your future state
  4. Start taking action to get what you want! Life does not have to be this hard.
